3 weeks you say?
Week 35-
The end of this week marked the official beginning of the 9th month of pregnancy! Woo hoo.
Kelly and Ashley went and got pedicures which I know was a good treat they both enjoyed. We also got to show off a very pregnant Kelly and took Josie to Marymoore park or DOG HEAVEN seriously this place is unreal!!
Kelly's belly continues to drop a little lower and this week she felt quite a bit of pain in her pelvis and hips. To the point she had trouble getting into bed or walking at all. It even brought her to tears.
More hiccups from little Jackson which means he is probably swallowing amniotic fluid to practice breathing, good boy!
Kelly is once again hungry more often but now because of how big Jackson is she can only eat tiny meals before getting full.
Here is the week 35 Belly and a picture of my sympathy weight gain Belly oops! ( I am pushing it out as far as I can to make Kelly feel better =) )
Week 36-
In week 36 the pelvic pain continued a bit. We had an appointment with the OB on Monday. They did a strep B swab on Kelly and will let us know the results soon. Kelly mentioned the pelvic pain so he decided to do an internal check. His said Jackson is definitely head down at this point and that is the cause of all the pressure/pain. He also said Kelly was 50% effaced, so we are slowly preparing for labor. He told Kelly it could be any time now or weeks rom now but once she hit 37 weeks he would not try to stop labor. Wow we still have some things to get done we better get our butts in gear!
In other news my Sister-in-law has been 100% effaced and dilated to 4 cm for a few days now so we are expecting our new nephew literally any day now!!! Can't wait for the two cousins to play together in the future!! Hopefully they have as many adventures as Lance and I did!
So as of today 5/7/09 we have about 26 days left til our due date I hope it flies by. I cannot wait to hold my son in my arms and be a big proud papa bear.

A Baby Boy
We first got to see his head and they measured his brain, then into the kidneys, lungs, heart, diaphragm etc. They Doctor then asked if we wanted to know, we both said YES! So she started scannin from underneath at first I saw nothing and thought girl? But didn't say anything out loud then she turned her wrist and there it was! Made poppa pretty proud HAHA she then asked did you see something and I replied a little too loudly " IT'S A BOY!.
The Doctor chuckled and said "YEp there is no denying THAT and zoomed in on his man parts. A big boy haha!

Half way DONE
The belly is definitely growing, even some of her early maternity shirts are starting to 'ride up'. I can't imagine what it's going to be like in 4 months!
Kelly has been having a lot of back aches and I finally caved and gave her about a 15 minute massage. It makes my hands super tired since I have a little bit of early arthritis from all my horse injuries and doing way too many front hand springs as a kid. It is worth it though she sleeps way better, felt better at work and let me tell you happy prego lady equals husband continuing to live.
I spent a few hours last night watching youtube videos of laughing babies. I know there will be sleepless nights, poop and snot and pee everywhere, but I CANNOT wait for those moments when our baby is laughing hysterically or trying to dance to music. So precious.
We got some more baby books sent to us this week, one has a lot of cute baby pictures with quotes. The one quote I found so true said something like " being a parent is the most courageous thing you can do, you are choosing to let your heart walk around outside your body for the rest of your life."
That is so true, I can't imagine loving this little being more thant I already do and we haven't even met yet!
Another book was Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy. It is so hysterical Kelly and I can't put it down. Just an FYI though it is pretty crude and not for everyone.
So best news for last. Kelly finally felt our gummi bear move just little "flutterings" no big kicks yet, but she is relieved and excited no less.
I am very jealous because I have to wait until it really gets kicking to feel it, but I am glad it is moving around and telling us it's okay!
We now only have 5 days left of not knowing what we are having. Our appointment is monday at 4:45 We are so excited, I don't know if I will be able to hold my bladder on the way there!
We are planning to share with everyone so no worries. Maybe we can find a creative way to do it?
The week is either going to fly by or crawl, not sure yet. Will blog again once we know. Say a prayer for a healthy normal baby on the ultrasound.
Check out Kelly's blog and her side of the story, but don't ditch me on here! http://seankellybaby.blogspot.com/
